What is the difference between coaching vs. therapy?

Therapy focuses on healing from the past. It often explores unresolved trauma, mental health diagnoses, and emotional wounds. Therapy is typically a longer-term, clinical process guided by a licensed mental health professional.

Coaching, on the other hand, is about growth, accountability, and forward movement. In couples coaching, we focus on improving communication, deepening connection, setting goals, and equipping you with tools to build a healthy, Christ-centered relationship. It’s solution-focused and action-oriented.

At The Wellness Way Collab, we blend the best of both worlds—you’ll benefit from Kitty Robinson’s clinical training and her coaching-style approach that’s relatable, research-based, and faith-led.

What if my spouse is hesitant to join?

That’s completely normal! Many partners are unsure at first. This program is designed to be welcoming, non-judgmental, and focused on progress—not perfection. We encourage you to invite them to attend just one session to experience it firsthand. Often, that’s all it takes!

Is this faith-based?

Yes. This program is rooted in Christian principles and biblical truths, but you don’t have to be deeply religious to benefit. We integrate research-based relationship strategies with spiritual insight to help couples build lasting, God-honoring connection.

How is this different from traditional couples therapy?

While therapy is often individual and clinical, this is a group coaching experience that’s interactive, supportive, and deeply relational. Led by Kitty Robinson—trained in Focus Marital Therapy and with 30 years of marriage experience—you’ll learn practical tools, receive accountability, and grow alongside other couples on a similar journey.
